Citizen launches new Eco-Drive watch with mother-of-pearl dial

Earlier this month, Citizen introduced two Peyten watches with purple and blue dial variants. Now, the brand has launched the new Peyten EM1232-59D watch in the UK. Interestingly, the watch comes with a mother-of-pearl dial. Unlike the other two variants, the Peyten EM1232-59D ships with a gold-tone stainless steel case and a bracelet with a fold-over clasp with push buttons.
The face of the watch is quite simple. There are no date or day window complications here; instead, you get a clean and minimalist dial look, which is adorned with gold-finished hour markers and three analog hands. Unfortunately, you won’t get a sapphire crystal here; instead, Citizen offers a standard mineral glass, which does provide basic scratch resistance, though.
The Japanese watch manufacturer has packed its proprietary Eco-Drive technology into the watch, which powers it through ambient light. This technology further eliminates the need for battery replacements. The EM1232-59D uses a 30 mm case diameter, which is moderate and fitting for casual occasions. Furthermore, it is rated at 50 m (5 bar) water resistance, meaning it can handle normal water splashes effortlessly. However, please note that it is not suitable for swimming or diving activities. There’s no lume and no extra dials.
As for price, the Citizen Peyten EM1232-59D is priced at £269. Interested buyers can now purchase Peyten series watches in three dial color options, including mother-of-pearl, blue, and purple, directly from Citizen UK’s official website.
