Citizen’s colorful new Promaster Dive watches get a wider release

Back in June, Citizen released four new Promaster Marine divers featuring a compact case and an all-new Eco-Drive movement. At the time, all four watches were exclusive to Japan. But at least three models from the new lineup are now finally getting a global launch.

The Citizen Promaster BN0265-00A, BN0266-07E, and BN0267-04L are now officially available in the US, UK, and Canada. The BN0265-00A features a white dial, paired with a black bezel and an olive green urethane band, while the BN0266-07E sports an all-black look. Finally, the BN0267-04L has a blue sunburst dial, a matching blue bezel, and a navy blue band. Unfortunately, the striking orange/black BN0268-01E isn’t part of this rollout, and it’s unclear if Citizen plans to launch it globally at a later date.

In the US, the new Promaster Dive lineup is priced at $450, while in the UK, all three will retail for £319 from Citizen’s online store and select authorized retailers. Those in Canada can pick up the new divers for CA $625 from Citizen Canada’s website.

The new Promaster offerings feature a 40.6mm silver-tone stainless steel case with 11.7mm thickness, making them considerably more compact than traditional dive watches. True to their Promaster heritage, all three are ready for the water with 200 meters of water resistance, a unidirectional black IP dive bezel, and Type 1 magnetic resistance. The watches also come fitted with 20mm BENEBiOL biomass urethane straps developed by the Mitsubishi Chemical Group.

The dive watches are powered by the all-new Eco-Drive Caliber E118, which can run on basically any light source and eliminates the need for battery replacements. The movement offers an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and can store up to one year of power when fully charged.
