Citizen debuts stylish Tsuyosa 60 watches with a Rolex Datejust-inspired design and exhibition caseback

The Tsuyosa has quickly become one of the best affordable automatic watches under $500. There have been several iterations of the Tsuyosa since its debut in 2022, including a more premium Central Seconds variant and a downsized 37mm version. Now the brand has released two new stylish additions to the lineup that build upon last year’s Tsuyosa 60, offering the same classic Rolex Datejust aesthetic complete with a jubilee-style bracelet and “cyclops” date magnifier.

First spotted on Citizen Hong Kong’s website earlier this month, the Tsuyosa 60 (NK0022-50A) with a gold-tone case and bracelet and white textured dial has now officially landed in the US and Canada. And it’s joined by a new 37mm version that delivers the same features and experience in a more compact design.

Instead of the standard Tsuyosa sunburst finish, both watches feature a beautifully stamped guilloché-style radial texture that was first seen on the Small Second version and was also used on last year's Tsuyosa 60. The intricate pattern catches the light from every angle, giving the watch a markedly more refined look.

Citizen has also replaced the original three-link bracelet with a five-link Jubilee-style design featuring polished center links and brushed outer links. Together with the applied baton indices, sharp handset, integrated case, and magnified date window, the result is unmistakably Datejust-inspired. A push-button butterfly clasp keeps the bracelet looking clean from every angle.

Both models are powered by Citizen's in-house Caliber 8310 automatic movement with hacking seconds, hand-winding capability, and a healthy 60-hour power reserve. Sapphire crystal protects the dial, while 50 meters of water resistance makes the watch perfectly capable of handling everyday wear.

There's a slight premium this time around. The new 40mm Tsuyosa 60 now costs $675 in the US (CA$795 in Canada), up from $625 for last year's models. The new 37mm version carries the same price.
