New Citizen collab watch with black ion-plated case launches, featuring glow-in-the-dark dial

Citizen UK has just announced the AW1437-61W, a new Spider-Man Eco-Drive watch that may be the most dramatic Marvel collab the brand has produced yet. The dial shows Spider-Man mid-swing against a city skyline in full comic book color, but in the dark, the entire scene switches to a luminous green outline, and Spider-man's silhouette glows against a blacked-out background.
The watch sits in a 43 mm black ion-plated stainless steel case with the J810 Eco-Drive caliber, with 100 m water resistance and a mineral crystal. It ships in Marvel-branded packaging alongside a Spider-Man pin with the same artwork from the dial. The caseback is engraved with "THWIP" — the classic comic book "sound effect" for web-slinging — alongside the Marvel copyright mark.
Citizen first announced its Marvel partnership at Baselworld in 2018, debuting eight watches built around Black Panther, Spider-Man, Captain America, and the Hulk. Since then, Spider-Man has been the most revisited character in the collection. He has appeared across multiple silhouettes and design approaches — from vintage comic panel artwork to bold blue-and-red Pepsi-style colorways. The AW1437-61W takes a different approach entirely: the dial illustration is much closer to a modern comic book cover than anything Citizen has done with the character before, and the lume reveal is a fun design decision as well.
The watch is listed as a Fall 2026 introduction. Pricing hasn't been confirmed by Citizen UK, and while the watch is not viewable on the website yet, comparable Marvel Eco-Drive models typically retail between $250 and $350.
