Citizen has unveiled the Imperial Battle AW1857-57W, a new Star Wars Eco-Drive watch featuring an embossed Death Star and TIE Fighter dial in red and black. The 42 mm ion-plated steel watch runs the J810 caliber with sapphire crystal, priced at $525.

Another new Citizen collab has just shown up, and this isn't the company's first partnership with this franchise. A new Imperial Battle (AW1857-57W) edition has now joined Citizen's Star Wars Eco-Drive lineup, priced at $525/CA$695. The watch puts the Death Star and TIE Fighters front and center on an embossed red and black metal dial — definitely one of the more dramatic dials the brand has produced within the Star Wars series.

Design-wise, you see a swarm of TIE Fighter silhouettes crossing the red dial against a textured Death Star backdrop. The Galactic Empire crest is visible at 12 o'clock and etched again on the caseback. The hexagonal gray IP 42 mm stainless steel case is a deliberate reference to the angular panel geometry of TIE Fighter wings.

Under the hood is the J810 Eco-Drive caliber, Citizen's light-powered movement. The watch runs three hands with a date function, sits behind a sapphire crystal, and is rated WR100 — solid for swimming and marine sports, but not for deep-sea diving. The bracelet is stainless steel with a fold-over clasp and push button.

Citizen's Star Wars collection has been running for years, covering characters from Darth Vader and the Mandalorian to Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. Previous entries like the limited-edition Darth Vader BM7257-57W were capped at 1,977 pieces globally. No limited edition status has been confirmed for the Imperial Battle at this stage.

The AW1857-57W is available now through Citizen's official website. Alternatively, you can check out the Citizen CA0649-06X on Amazon.
