Citizen launches new 37 mm Eco-Drive watch with mother-of-pearl dial

Citizen UK has added a fresh model to its Rolan collection. The new FE7130-10D has gone live on the brand's UK store today. The watch is a mother-of-pearl dial variant of the Rolan lineup, and it sits at the smaller end of the range with a 37 mm stainless-steel case and a price of £199 (~$263).
The dial is the obvious draw here. Mother-of-pearl has a natural iridescence that shifts between white, pink, and soft blue depending on the light and angle, and Citizen has kept the design around it quite restrained. Bar-style hour markers sit on a chapter ring with slim dauphine hands, which lets the dial material do most of the visual work. The case is silver-tone stainless-steel, and it comes paired with a brown croc-embossed leather strap. This combination leans into the vintage-adjacent styling Citizen has positioned the Rolan line around.
Under the hood is the J830 Eco-Drive caliber, Citizen's proprietary light-powered movement that charges via any natural or artificial light source. Water resistance is rated to 50 meters, which covers everyday wear and swimming but not snorkeling. The crystal is mineral glass.
At 37 mm, the FE7130-10D is on the smaller, more understated side of the men's watch market — a size that has been quietly making a comeback as the trend for oversized cases continues to cool down. For £199, it makes a reasonably compelling case for itself, particularly given the Eco-Drive movement and the mother-of-pearl dial at that price point.
