The new Citizen x Hypbeast collab watch gets head-to-toe chrome treatment across the 39.5 mm case, bracelet, and dial.
Citizen has launched the Zenshin Hypebeast 20th Anniversary Limited Edition, its most extensively Duratect Platinum-coated Zenshin ever. The 39.5 mm Super Titanium watch celebrates Hypebeast's 20th anniversary, but only 600 units exist worldwide. Priced at $625.

Citizen has officially debuted the Zenshin Hypebeast 20th Anniversary Limited Edition (AW0138-59A). It's a brand-new collaboration celebrating two milestones at once: Hypebeast's 20th year as a global streetwear and culture platform, and Citizen's 50th anniversary of Eco-Drive tech. The production run is capped at 600 units worldwide. This number looks almost absurd against Hypebeast's global readership of tens of millions.

Citizen went further with the Zenshin's signature material than it ever has before. The AW0138-59A features the most extensive application of Duratect Platinum in the Zenshin collection's history — a surface-hardening technology that makes the titanium at least five times harder than standard stainless steel, while keeping the watch impressively light on the wrist. What you get is a head-to-toe chrome treatment across the 39.5 mm case, bracelet, and dial. It's a unique, monochrome all-metallic look that Citizen has never pushed this far on the platform before.

The design is very deliberate in its restraint. Skeletonized hands and minimal markers keep the dial uncluttered, with a black outer minute ring providing the only real contrast. Hypebeast's presence is subtle as well: the brand's logo is visible beneath the hands, and a custom Arabic numeral "20" replaces the standard 4 o'clock index. The individually numbered caseback carries the Hypebeast logo, and each watch ships in a custom box with a limited-edition authentication card with the same number.

Under the sapphire crystal, Citizen's Caliber J800 Eco-Drive movement powers the watch from any light source — natural or artificial. A day-date display is present at 3 o'clock, and water resistance is rated to 100 meters.

The Zenshin Hypebeast 20th Anniversary Limited Edition is priced at $625 and is available now at citizenwatch.com and hbx.com. At 600 pieces, it won't last long. You can also check out the Citizen AW0130-85L on Amazon — currently discounted by 25%.
