Ayaneo Konkr Pocket Advance appears in a new color, along with a view of the rear

Ayaneo is launching a new handheld that is based on the Game Boy Advance. The new device will be sold as the Konkr Pocket Advance, and we have already seen what it looks like, at least its front view. Now, Ayaneo has shared new images that show the upcoming handheld in a new color as well as its rear.

The first image of the Konkr Pocket Advance revealed the new handheld will be available in an Orange hue similar to one of the original colors of the Game Boy Advance, albeit one that was exclusive to Japan. Now, the manufacturer has shared a new image of the Konkr Pocket Advance in a color similar to the Indigo hue of the original Game Boy Advance.

This image was shared exclusively with Retrododo, and it shows the handheld will have mostly white buttons just like the orange variant, save for some buttons at the top that match the color of the shell. The image also shows the back of the Konkr Pocket Advance which is curved, ribbed, and has air vents. We also get a better look at the stereo speakers, volume wheel, audio jack, and USB-C port.

However, another image of the handheld shared on X by Ayaneo gives us a better look at the phone's top. Based on the image, the Konkr Pocket Advance will have large L1 and R1 shoulder buttons, but rather than equally large and stacked L2 and R2 trigger buttons, Ayaneo has gone for much smaller and in-line buttons.

The image also shows a button below the L2 button labelled LC. This is similar to the LC function button on the left side of the Pocket Micro 2. This means there should be an RC button on the opposite side. There's also a white button next to the R2 button whose function is currently unknown.

Ayaneo is still keeping the specifications of the Konkr Pocket Advance a secret, but we expect it will begin to reveal these details in bits until it finally launches the handheld. What the exact release date is and how much the Konkr Pocket Advance will cost remain unknown.
