Lenovo reveals more about its new lightweight Legion gaming handheld

The Lenovo Legion C700 is set to launch in China in August 2026, and just recently, the company shared the design of the gaming handheld. With recent teasers, the brand has further confirmed that the device will sport a 7.82-inch 120Hz display, and this high refresh rate should deliver a smooth, fluid experience.

Another key highlight shared by the company is that the gaming handheld will feature TMR thumbsticks, meaning that users won't need to worry about stick drift. Now, with new teasers, Lenovo shares that the device will sport a thin and light build.

Specifically, Lenovo confirmed that the gaming handheld will be as thin as 14.9mm. For reference, the Legion Go S is 22.6mm thick, while the ROG Ally X measures 24.7mm in thickness. This slim build means that the hardware inside isn't beefy, and that's not a surprise, as Lenovo is marketing it as a cloud handheld.

Lenovo further claims that the Legion C700 weighs around 556 grams (about 1.25lbs), which is lighter than most gaming handhelds. To compare, Go S (16/512GB with Z2 Go curr. $859.99) weighs around 730 grams (around 1.61lbs), while the ROG Ally X weighs about 678 grams (about 1.49lbs).

Other specs of the gaming handheld are still under wraps, but it's possible that Legion C700 will run on Android (Magmi Air X that's curr. . Even if that's the case, running PC games shouldn't be an issue if the SoC is somewhat capable. Another thing that's worth noting is that the device may not see a wide global launch, as it's made in partnership with Tencent.
