Lenovo has shared a few key specs of the Legion C700 handheld ahead of its release. The cloud gaming device, which will ship with Tencent's Start cloud gaming service, will have a high refresh rate and drift-free sticks.

Lenovo has a new handheld on the way, and unlike its Legion Go series, this is marketed as a cloud gaming device made in collaboration with Tencent. The new device is the Legion C700, and Lenovo has shared more details ahead of its release in August.

According to a new post on the official Legion Weibo account, the Legion C700 will have a 7.82-inch IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This makes it smaller than the Legion Go S which has an 8-inch 120Hz IPS display. The Legion C700 will also feature TMR thumbsticks, Hall Effect triggers, four customizable buttons (two extra shoulder buttons and two back buttons), and an omni-directional D-pad.

No details about the processor, RAM, storage, and battery capacity have been revealed. So far, the Legion C700 seems to be available in white only, but we won't rule out the possibility of another color being released later.

Lenovo is positioning the Legion C700 as a cloud gaming device, similar to the Logitech G Cloud and the Abxylute OnePro (available on Amazon for $259.99). It will feature Tencent's START cloud gaming service, which will grant users access to a large library of popular games, as well as new ones, and they will be able to play right away without the need to download the game.

The Lenovo Legion C700 might be exclusive to China.

Based on this, the Legion C700 seems like it will be a China-exclusive device, since Tencent START is available in China, only. However, if it runs Android and has a powerful processor, it should be able to run PC games via apps such as GameNative, GameHub, and Winlator, making it worth importing.
