Mangmi reveals processors powering its Air Y handhelds, and they are familiar

Mangmi has shared fresh details of its upcoming handhelds, the Air Y series. Following the announcement that it will be releasing two new vertical handhelds, Mangmi has been posting details of the devices in bits and pieces. A few days ago, it revealed the display and charging specs, and then followed it up with a teaser video showing off their appearance. Now, it has revealed the processors powering them.
As previously reported, the Air Y series will be available in two versions — a standard Air Y and an Air Y Pro. While both of them will have the same display, performance will vary significantly as a result of their processors. According to Mangmi, the Air Y will have a Snapdragon 662 processor. This is the same processor inside Mangmi's first handheld, the Air X (read our hands-on).
On the other hand, the Air Y Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor, the same chipset inside the Mangmi Pocket Max (read our review). As it stands, it seems Mangmi is using leftover chips from its first two handhelds, which isn't a bad thing. However, this means the performance of the Air Y series should be similar to that of Mangmi's other handhelds, provided the RAM is the same.
Although, it is expected that the Air Y and Air Y Pro should cost less than the Air X (curr. available on Amazon for $145.99) and Pocket Max, since the Air Y series have smaller and lower resolution 60Hz displays. Mangmi still has to reveal the RAM, storage, and battery capacity for our prediction to be correct, and we expect that will happen in the coming days.
In addition to the processor, the new teaser also reveals that the Air Y Pro will have a microSD card slot, an audio jack, a microphone, and a USB-C port at the top. The image doesn't show the top of the Air Y, so we can't say if it has the same array of ports.
