So much for a budget Arc G3 handheld: Predator Atlas 8 pricing confirmed

The Acer Predator Atlas 8 Handheld now has a price and expected launch month, for the UK at least. According to Acer UK, the device starts at £999.99 and rises to £1,499.99 for the most powerful configuration.

The Predator Atlas 8 was first shown off at Computex earlier this year and is built around Intel's new Arc G3 processors. Acer has now opened priority pre-order registration in the UK and outlined four confirmed configurations ahead of the handheld's launch in October.

Four configurations, two chip options

Acer has confirmed the following UK pricing and specifications for the Predator Atlas 8 lineup:

• Intel Arc G3, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 60Whr battery: £999.99
• Intel Arc G3, 24GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 60Whr battery: £1,099.99
• Intel Arc G3 Extreme, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 80Whr battery: £1,299.99
• Intel Arc G3 Extreme, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 80Whr battery: £1,499.99

The Predator Atlas 8 arrives as the third handheld built around the Arc G3 Extreme chip, following MSI's Claw 8 EX AI+ and the OneXPlayer 3. Unlike those two, Acer is also offering a cheaper non-Extreme Arc G3 option alongside the Extreme lineup, giving buyers a lower entry point even if it remains far from budget territory.

Across all four configurations, the Predator Atlas 8 features an 8-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, giving it more vertical screen space than a standard FHD panel. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and Variable Refresh Rate, reaches up to 500 nits of brightness, and includes 10-point touch support with a low-reflection coating over Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The handheld also includes hall-effect analog triggers, full-size analog sticks, rear macro buttons, and Acer's AeroBlade active cooling system, running full Windows 11 Home for access to existing PC game libraries alongside Intel XeSS upscaling support.

Acer is offering early adopters a pre-packed Corning Gorilla Glass screen protector and two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with all pre-ordered units. Priority pre-order registration is open now through Acer's UK store, though the company has not yet confirmed an exact date for pre-orders to go live more broadly.

The Predator Atlas 8 is set to launch across the UK, North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia starting in October.
