Orient Star's teaser site now carries a date: 9 September 2026. The page lists no references, specs or caliber, only dark movement footage and solar system imagery hinting at a celestial theme. The watch will land in the brand's 75th anniversary year.

Orient Star (Orient's luxury sub-brand) has put a date on its next skeleton release. A teaser site for the brand (which has been live since late July) now displays "9 September 2026 – New Skeleton Unveiled."

The site itself withholds any specifics. There are no reference numbers, no case dimensions and no caliber listed. All we get is a run of dark macro footage showing a skeletonized bridge carrying the Orient Star name, an exposed balance and what appears to be a blued component crossing the movement. Next, you see two sequences that give us an idea of what the theme is: an animated solar system with planets tracking colored orbital paths, and a designer sketching dial concepts beside an astronomical plate.

Orient Star has not said what the watch is. The visuals could be setting up a dial motif, a complication, or it could be nothing beyond campaign framing. It is worth noting, though, that the M34 collection already uses design language inspired by the Perseid meteor shower. With that in mind, another celestial angle would not be something too surprsing, especially for this brand.

Orient Star is celebrating 75 years since its 1951 founding. Its anniversary output so far has been mostly about skeletons. In February brought the limited M34 F8 Skeleton Hand Winding — it was powered by the hand-wound F8B65 with roughly 70 hours of reserve. We also got a six-reference dial revamp for the Modern Skeleton series.

Orient Star has been pretty quiet otherwise. Its last major announcement was a June extension of Orient Star and Orient warranties to three years. Anyone tracking this particular release can watch the teaser page directly. Pricing, availability and reference numbers should follow on 9 September.
