Deal | These two Citizen stainless-steel Eco-Drive watches are now up to 72% off, at under $200

The Citizen CA4285-68E and AW1773-55E
ⓘ Citizen, Medusa - edited
The Citizen CA4285-68E and AW1773-55E are both discounted on Ashford and Jomashop.
Two Citizen Eco-Drive watches are under $200 across two retailers. Jomashop has the sapphire-crystal Carson at $169, below Walmart, Ashford and every authorized dealer, while Ashford's Brycen chronograph falls to $161.99 with a coupon.

Two Citizen Eco-Drive references have dropped under $200 this week, one at Jomashop and one at Ashford. Between them, they cover the two ends of the brand's sport-luxury range.

Jomashop has the Carson AW1773-55E at $169 against Citizen's $595 list price. That is the better deal of the two, and it holds up against the wider market as well: Walmart is currently selling the same reference at $249.41, Chrono24 listings sit around $423, and other authorized jewellers are asking $431 to $446. Ashford stocks it too, at $229.99. Jomashop undercuts Walmart by $80 and Ashford by $61 on an identical watch.

The Carson is powered by the J810 Eco-Drive caliber in a 42 mm rose gold-tone steel case and bracelet. The watch features a unidirectional bezel, a date at six, a deployment clasp and 100 m water resistance. Citizen's own product page lists a sapphire crystal, which is solid at this price range and the strongest argument for the watch. For some reason, Jomashop's listing describes a mineral crystal; it's better to treat Citizen's spec as the accurate one.

Ashford's is the Brycen chronograph CA4285-68E at $179.99: it has now dropped to $161.99 with code SUMMER10. That buys a 43 mm black ion-plated case, 12 mm thick, with three sub-dials, a date at 4:30, the same 100 m rating and a mineral crystal. It is the cheaper watch of the two, though the less protected one.

There is something to check before you order the former watch. Jomashop flags the Carson for availability rather than confirming stock. Both sellers are outside Citizen's authorized network, so the five-year Citizen warranty may not carry. However, you do get a 5-year Jomashop warranty on Citizen purchases, and Ashford also offers its own warranty alongside Citizen purchases.
