Garmin releases new update to high-end smartwatches with display improvement

Only a few days have passed since Garmin last offered a new stable update to the Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Pro (curr. $949 on Amazon) and other associated smartwatches. As we discussed previously, the company issued System Software 22.43 with the promise of multiple security improvements. Nonetheless, the company has already issued a replacement with a fresh change.
Now, Garmin has started rolling out System Software 22.44 to Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Pro and Tactix 8 smartwatch owners running stable software. Available globally, the new update is already said to have been offered to 50% of eligible smartwatches. If that is not the case, then one can navigate through the main menu to System and Software Update before tapping 'Check for Updates'.
In a forum post, Garmin clarifies that System Software 22.44 focuses on one bug found in recent stable software. Specifically, the new update should resolve an issue that caused inconsistent gesture responses across all Fenix 8 family smartwatches. Unfortunately, Garmin has not revealed when it will transition recent v23.xx development to its stable software branch. Instead, it continues to offer v23.xx builds to public beta testers, most recently with Beta Version 23.26 that arrived a few days ago.
