For anyone who has (too) little space at home for a proper home gym, the Speediance Gym Nano, unveiled on September 8, is worth a look. Essentially, it is a cable machine with adjustable digital resistance of up to 100 kg, along with performance metrics to track your workouts.

At IFA 2026, Speediance unveiled several home gyms, including the Gym Monster 3 and 3S, which we covered here. Both feature a sturdy metal frame, a dual cable system, and a 24-inch display for showing performance data.

The Gym Nano from the same manufacturer takes things a whole lot further in terms of compactness and size. It was officially unveiled today, September 8. The training device weighs “just” 8.2 kg, making it portable and allowing it to be set up or mounted in different locations. Instead of a dual cable system, it features a single cable with up to 100 kg of digital resistance, a cable travel of 5.1 meters, and a top speed of 6.4 m/s.

If you already have a small gym rack at home without a cable system, you can also combine two Gym Nano units and attach them to the existing frame in TWIN mode. Mounting is handled via a quick-release system, for example using magnetic mounts for 2 x 2 and 3 x 3 rack systems. Four mounting options are available in total.

The cable itself supports various pulling angles, making it suitable for pushing, pulling, and rotational movements. There are four different resistance modes: Standard, Eccentric, Chain, and Fixed Speed. In addition, there are performance modes for sled, ski, and rowing movements.

Beyond the hardware itself, the manufacturer aims to make workouts more effective by providing a range of performance metrics, including Peak Force, Rate of Force Development, impulse, average force, and left-right asymmetry. During a workout, users can view real-time data on resistance, movement speed, repetitions, and power. Workout histories from individual or multiple sessions can then be displayed in an analysis using line charts and other visualizations.

The Gym Nano gets the power needed for its measurements and resistance system from a 95.68 Wh battery, which supports around 19 workouts (12 sets of 8 repetitions each at 27 kg of resistance). The model can currently be preordered here with a $50 deposit. Official deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 10. The only thing that is not entirely transparent is the price, as shown in the screenshot.

So...what is the price beyond the $50 deposit?
