New 4K 120Hz laser projectors with up to 6,500 lumens offer gaming on a massive screen
IFAFollowing an announcement a few days before IFA 2026, JMGO presented the Iris series in Europe at the Berlin trade show, which concluded today. Already available in China, the smart projector lineup has now launched globally with a $500 pre-order discount and free gifts. It consists of two models: the JMGO Iris Ultra Max ($3,499 MSRP) and Iris Ultra ($2,499 MSRP).
The two models differ in several areas, but both support 4K at 120Hz. Like the AWOL LuxVision ultra-short-throw projector also unveiled at IFA, the JMGO Iris series is well suited to gaming.
The laser projectors support high-refresh-rate gaming for smoother motion. This is enabled by a dual-DLPC architecture and a proprietary HyperPulse Actuator. It performs 480 shifts per second, twice as many as conventional actuators, preserving full 4K detail at 120Hz.
They also support VRR and ALLM, along with Dolby Vision, 4K 120Hz MEMC and hardware-based anti-RBE technology to reduce rainbow artifacts. This makes the Iris series suitable for both gaming and home theater use. The JMGO Iris Ultra Max delivers up to 6,500 ISO lumens, while the Iris Ultra reaches a maximum of 4,500 ISO lumens. The Iris Ultra also has a slightly lower native contrast ratio of 7,000:1, compared with 10,000:1 for the Ultra Max.
As with the recent JMGO N3 Ultimate ($2,999 MSRP), the Iris series offers a 3-in-1 optical system with optical zoom (0.88-1.7:1), four-way lens shift (V ±130%, H ±53%), an AI-powered gimbal (360° pan, 150° tilt, Iris Ultra Max only) and AI Screen Fitting. These features allow flexible image alignment and adjustment without sacrificing image quality.
