This new stylish ultra-short-throw projector runs 4K at 120 Hz and shifts its lens optically

Awol Vision has used IFA 2026 to introduce the LuxVision, a new flagship ultra-short-throw projector that the company describes as the first UST model to combine 4K at 120 Hz with optical lens shift.

The projector is positioned at the top of AWOL's Aetherion UST range and runs 4K at 120 Hz; the company quotes roughly a billion pixels processed per second. Gaming features include 1 ms input lag, VRR, ALLM and Dolby Vision Gaming. Connectivity covers three HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort and a four-channel HDMI multiview mode that allows several sources on screen at once.

Light comes from an RGB triple laser. Awol's German release quotes 6,000 ISO lumens. Color coverage is given as 110 percent of Rec. 2020, supported by dynamic tone mapping and a seven-stage dynamic iris. Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode and 3D playback are all included.

The throw ratio is 0.18:1, which means images up to 200 inches can projected from a cabinet placed close to the wall. Vertical optical lens shift adjusts image position at the touch of a button while preserving full 4K detail, and the projector adds a motorized lens cover and a lens designed to limit stray light. Second-generation Anti-RBE technology is included to cut down on the rainbow artefacts that are a common issue with single-chip DLP projectors. Awol says there is a TÜV certification for reducing harmful light as well.

The chassis takes its fluted styling from classical columns and can be ordered in different color, material and finish combinations.

The LuxVision is expected to reach retail in October 2026 at a recommended price of 5,999 euros, around $6,950. You can see its full product page here.
