Citizen adds four colorful limited-edition watches to its Series 8 lineup
Citizen has previewed four limited-edition Series 8 831 automatic watches, each featuring an angular octagonal case, and faceted geometric dial. Pricing, availability, and specifications remain unconfirmed, though the models are expected to mirror the specifications of the 2025 ice-blue edition.

Citizen is expanding its angular Series 8 lineup with four new limited-edition automatic watches. The upcoming Series 8 831 Limited Edition models were teased by Citizen US on Instagram as “arriving soon," and while there’s no word on pricing or specifications, images shared by the company give us a pretty good look at what to expect when these models eventually go on sale.

The four watches share the same angular, octagonal case design as the Series 8 831 Limited Edition NB6051-59L released in March 2025. Like that model, the new references feature a distinctive geometric pattern across the dial that gives the surface a faceted, crystalline appearance as it catches the light, complemented by baton indices and hour and minute hands, a framed date window at 3 o'clock, a brushed octagonal bezel, and sculpted crown guards.

The NB6050-01L takes the most understated approach, pairing a textured navy blue dial with a matching textured leather strap and silver-tone stainless steel case and bezel. The NB6059-06W offers a warmer palette, combining a brown textured dial and matching leather strap with a light brown bezel surrounding its stainless steel case.

Meanwhile, the NB6050-19W goes for a richer look with a red wine dial and matching leather strap, paired with a silver-tone case and bezel that provide some contrast against the deeper color. Finally, we have the NB6052-56W, which is the dressier of the bunch. It pairs a burnt-orange dial with subtle brown undertones with an integrated H-link bracelet and matching gold-tone case and bezel.

Citizen hasn’t yet disclosed the movement or other specifications for the upcoming lineup. However, the collection clearly borrows its platform from the ice-blue NB6051-59L and is expected to offer similar specifications. Expect a highly wearable 40mm case measuring 11.6mm thick, sapphire crystal glass, 100 meters of water resistance, and most likely an exhibition caseback. Under the hood, you’ll likely find Citizen’s Caliber 9051 movement, a workhorse automatic boasting a 42-hour power reserve.

There’s also no word on pricing or production numbers. For context, the Series 8 831 ice-blue model arrived with a $1,300 price tag and was limited to 1,800 timepieces worldwide.
