Acer releases new MacBook Neo rival internationally with 120 Hz display, 12 GB RAM and 19 hours battery life
Earlier today, Acer launched the Swift Air 16 with Intel Wildcat Lake processors. At the same time, the company presented the Swift Blade 14 with the same underlying processor architecture as its 16-inch counterpart. On top of that, it introduced a new compact desktop PC globally with 128 GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX Spark chipset.
Now, Acer has quietly released one of the laptops it brought to Computex 2026 in May. Specifically, it has started selling the Swift Air 14 across Europe and Southeast Asia as an alternative to Apple's MacBook Neo (curr. $689 on Amazon). To recap, the Swift Air 14 complements Intel's Wildcat Lake platform with a 14-inch, 350-nit and 120 Hz IPS display in a body that weighs a mere 1.19 kg.
Nonetheless, the laptop features an aluminium design. Also, Acer claims that the built-in 70 Wh battery should last up to 19 hours when playing videos and 16 hours when web browsing. For the time being, the following Swift Air 14 configurations are available to purchase:
- Intel Core 3 304, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD - SGD 1,199 (~$943) (SGD 1,399 MSRP)
- Intel Core 5 320, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD - £749 / €799 / SGD 1,299 (~1,020) (SGD 1,499 MSRP)
- Intel Core 5 320, 12 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD - SGD 1,399 (~$1,100) (SGD 1,599 MSRP)
- Intel Core 7 350, 12 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD - €1,199 / SGD 1,599 (~$1,255) (SGD 1,799 MSRP)
For the time being, the Swift Air 14 remains listed as 'coming soon' in the US, where it will eventually start at $699 with a Core 5 320 processor and 8 GB of RAM. Please see our video below for our initial look at Acer's new MacBook Neo rival.
