Acer launches new lightweight MacBook Neo rival globally with 90 Hz OLED, Intel Wildcat Lake and 12 GB RAM
IFAAcer has updated its Swift laptop series with a new 14-inch model. For context, the company is now selling the Swift Go 14 with Intel Panther Lake and AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors (curr. $1,349 on Amazon). Now, it has launched the Swift Blade 14 with a series of Intel Wildcat Lake processors to rival the MacBook Neo.
Specifically, Acer claims that the Swift Blade 14 will be configurable with the Core 3 304, Core 5 315, Core 5 320 and Core 7 350. For reference, a 20% performance spread exists between these four processors in our benchmarks, mainly because of the single P-core inside the Core 3 304. Acer complements these processors with 12 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, as well as a 50 Wh battery.
Moreover, Acer includes three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, a 3.5 mm jack and a modem supporting Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. On top of that, the Swift Blade 14 will be configurable with 1200p IPS or OLED displays. Both 300-nit, 60 Hz and 16:10 panels, Acer's OLED option surpasses its IPS counterpart with superior colour accuracy (100% DCI-P3).
Alternatively, Acer also plans to sell an 1800p OLED panel with 400 nits peak brightness, a 90 Hz refresh rate and the same colour accuracy as its lesser OLED counterpart. All this hardware sits within a 799 g housing, which measures 313 x 217 x 13 mm, or 313 x 217 x 14 mm for OLED models. At this stage, Acer has only confirmed that the Swift Blade 14 will be available in December 2026. Pricing and regional availability remain unknown for now.
