HMD Vibe 2 gets a color refresh with a launch discount

The HMD Vibe 2 launched a few months ago as a successor to the HMD Vibe released in September 2025. Since its release, the phone has been available to purchase in three colors, but that has now changed.

HMD has released the phone in a new color, thus bringing the available options to four. The new Wine Red color seems to have been unveiled alongside the new Vibe 2 Pro.  Like the other colors, it has a two-tone design — a lighter shade that covers the frame and camera island, and a darker shade for the large rectangular patch on the back. This design seems to have been copied from the iPhone 17 Pro.

While the new color isn't available on the HMD India website, it seems it will be sold by Flipkart. According to an X post by HMD India, the Wine Red color will be available on October 8 when Flipkart's Big Billion Days sales begins. However, current listings of the HMD Vibe 2 on Flipkart doesn't include the new color.

The HMD Vibe 2 is available in three configurations — 4GB RAM + 64GB, 4GB RAM + 128GB, and 6GB RAM + 128GB. When Flipkart's sales begins on October 8, the base model which currently sells for ₹11,499 (~$120/€106) will be discounted to ₹10,499 (~$110/€96). This means the new color will arrive with a discount. Although, we do not know if the new color will be limited to a particular configuration or not.
