Another Eden Begins removes gacha for Sept 17 single-player launch

Wright Flyer Studios and Studio Prisma have officially detailed Another Eden Begins, a single-player, buy-to-play remake of the free-to-play mobile RPG Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space. Releasing globally on September 17, 2026, across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, the standalone adaptation strips out gacha mechanics and microtransactions in favor of a traditional offline JRPG experience.

Gacha-free progression, 18 companions, and 10+ endings

Led by RPG veteran Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger, Xenogears), who heads Studio Prisma's development of the game, Another Eden Begins adapts Part 1 of the original narrative while overhauling core progression systems. Players follow protagonist Aldo as he travels across Antiquity (20,000 BC), the Present (300 AD), and the Future (1,100 AD) to rescue his sister, Feinne, from the Beast King. Instead of spending premium currency on random banner pulls, players naturally recruit a core roster of 18 companions through main story progression, specialized encounter quests, and kinship bonds.

Combat retains the franchise's strategic, turn-based command system built around party synergy and the Another Force gauge, which halts enemy turns to unleash high-damage skill chains. The remake also introduces a New Game+ mode. Guided by a mysterious new character, players carry their characters' strength into subsequent playthroughs to unlock more than 10 distinct narrative endings based on pivotal story choices.

Platform features, launch date, and early bird incentives

Beyond mechanical rebalancing, Another Eden Begins features full controller support, upgraded visuals, and Steam Cloud save support. Wright Flyer Studios has also confirmed early bird digital incentives, providing serial codes for exclusive character outfits and crossover rewards usable in the ongoing Another Eden mobile title.

Another Eden Begins launches digitally on September 17, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. A physical edition for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, published by Aksys Games, is set to follow in 2027.
