Three 200MP cameras: Oppo Find X10 Pro Max leak points to an exciting camera upgrade

Digital Chat Station, the "all-knowing leaker," has disclosed the full camera setup for the upcoming Oppo Find X10 Pro Max after an Oppo official revealed the main sensor specifications. Three 200MP sensors span the camera array, covering the main, ultrawide, and telephoto modules. The leaker describes this as a world-first configuration featuring 200MP sensors across all rear cameras, rather than only the main camera or the main and telephoto cameras.

The main sensor, the ISOCELL HPC, is a 200MP, 1/1.3-inch sensor built around Samsung's DeepPix pixel architecture, which combines Front Deep Trench Isolation (FDTI) with dual vertical transfer gates and a shared floating diffusion structure. Samsung says this raises the single-pixel full-well capacity by 60% over that of its prior generation without increasing pixel size. This enables single-frame 16-bit HDR capture across the 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x in-sensor zoom levels; Samsung claims this delivers up to four times richer color reproduction than conventional HDR. Video tops out at 4K at 180 fps with partial-pixel readout or 4K at 120 fps with all-pixel PDAF. Together, these features deliver 17EV of dynamic range, according to Oppo. Although that trails Huawei's 18.5EV claim for the Mate 80 Pro Max and Vivo's 17.5EV claim for the X500 Pro Max, it still represents the highest dynamic range offered by any 200MP sensor currently on the market.

The ultrawide sensor is rumored to be 1/1.56 inches in size, possibly using Samsung's ISOCELL HP5. Even though it isn't as large as the main sensor, it is still a huge upgrade over the Find X9 Pro's 1/2.76-inch JN5 ultrawide or the Find X9 Ultra's 1/1.95-inch LYT-600 ultrawide. The telephoto sensor is rumored to be the same 1/1.28-inch 200MP OmniVision OV52A used in the Find X9 Ultra's 3x camera. Even though this sensor doesn't have as wide a dynamic range as the main sensor, it is still very capable for a telephoto camera, based on photo samples from our Find X9 Ultra review. The major upgrades to the telephoto and ultrawide cameras should considerably improve video recording, as the larger sensors will help bridge the quality gap between the cameras.

None of this has been confirmed by Oppo, and the figures come from social media leaks rather than official specifications or engineering-sample documentation, so the retail hardware could differ from what is described here. The Find X10 Pro Max is expected to launch this September alongside the Find X10 E and Find X10, with global availability to follow soon after.
