Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is first phone with triple 200 MP camera and 8K video across the focal range

Oppo barely waited for the iPhone 18 Pro dust to settle and announced the handsets in its next flagship Find series, with the Find X10 Pro Max headlining the pecking order. Looking at its specifications, Oppo doesn't really need the X10 Ultra model to take on Apple's 2026 finest directly.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max camera and specs

The Find X10 Pro Max has just become the first phone in the world to pack three separate 200 MP Hasselblad lenses onto its back, a milestone that took Oppo several generations to build toward. The rest of its specs are no less impressive, too:

• Display: 6.78-inch flat panel, FHD+ 2772x1272, 450 PPI, 10-bit color, up to 144 Hz refresh (game-dependent), 2,000 nits peak brightness
• Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, 8 cores, up to 4.55 GHz
• Battery: 8,000 mAh (typical) with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging
• RAM/Storage: Up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage
• Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.2, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, NFC with eSE support
• Software: ColorOS 17.0

The main camera uses a 1/1.3 inch sensor with an f/1.5 aperture and a 24 mm equivalent focal length, rated for 17 EV of single-frame dynamic range. The telephoto covers 70 mm at f/2.1 with 10 cm macro focusing and CIPA 7.5 stabilization, which Oppo calls the highest resolution and largest aperture telephoto it has fitted to a Pro Max model. The ultrawide spans the rather generous 124-degree view at f/2.2 with a 1/1.56 inch sensor, and its light intake is claimed to be up twofold.

All three take native 200 MP stills, and thanks to the new MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chip and Tidal Engine scheduling, the gap between full resolution shots has reportedly dropped to just 0.7 seconds, a tenfold improvement. Besides the 200 MP stills, the three cameras support 8K video across the full focal range, something no rival can currently match.

Oppo's achievement did not come out of nowhere, as the Find X7 Ultra laid the groundwork with its dual periscope zoom setup, while the Find X9 Ultra pushed sensor size and battery capacity further and earned praise in our own testing for a camera system that delivered natural, reliable results without overly processed looks. The Find X9 series also introduced an even larger silicon-carbon battery and tighter Hasselblad color tuning, both of which return here in an allegedly more refined form. The X10 Pro Max essentially takes those lessons in sensor size, color science, and computational restraint and scales them up to a resolution class nobody else has attempted across all three lenses at once.

While Apple's iPhone 18 Pro Max looks conservative by comparison, with a triple camera system that tops out at 48 MP per lens, its main camera gained a new variable aperture ranging from f/1.48 to f/4.0, while the Tetraprism telephoto reaches 200 mm for 8x quality optical zoom. Apple leans on computational tricks like Photonic Engine and Deep Fusion rather than raw resolution, though, and that philosophy still works well for post-ready shots straight out of the camera.

Oppo's approach gives users way more room to crop, reframe, and process after the fact, since a 200 MP file holds more recoverable detail, especially at the telephoto and ultrawide ends, where Apple's numbers shrink to 12 MP outputs in some zoom modes. Whether raw pixel count translates into better everyday photos remains to be tested properly with a thorough Find X10 Pro Max review, though. A triple 200 MP camera still marks a genuine first for the industry and gives Oppo a clear talking point against Apple's incremental camera update this year.

Find X10 Pro Max price and release date

The phones in Oppo's new Find X10 series, including the top Pro Max model, are already up for preorder in China. Launching on September 24, the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is priced in four configurations:

• 12GB/256GB for 6,799 yuan (approx. $958)
• 12GB/512GB for 7,499 yuan (approx. $1,056)
• 16GB/512GB for 7,999 yuan (approx. $1,127)
• 16GB/1TB for 8,999 yuan (approx. $1,268)

While Chinese flagships can no longer be considered way more affordable than, say, Apple or Samsung gear, in this day and age of exorbitant memory and storage prices, starting from a grand is actually not that bad for a triple 200 MP camera phone with a huge battery and all other modern bells and whistles.

The Find X10 Pro Max comes in Moon White, Warm Orange, and Light Titanium colors and supports a flagship-grade IP69 water resistance level, receiving a five-star drop and impact resistance certification from SGS Switzerland.
