Lenovo releases powerful MacBook Pro rival with up to 20-core RTX Spark and 128 GB RAM

Lenovo officially unveiled the Pro 9n at IFA 2026. The Nvidia RTX Spark-powered laptop is now available to preorder, with shipping scheduled for October 16.

Pricing starts at $2,999.99 for the base configuration, which includes the lower-end RTX Spark N1X with an 18-core Grace CPU and 5120-core Blackwell RTX GPU, paired with 32 GB of unified memory and 512 GB of storage. That puts it around $400 above the Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra, which starts at $2,599. Lenovo does include more RAM as standard, though, as the Surface comes with 24 GB of base memory.

Buyers can also configure the Pro 9n with the full-fat 20-core RTX Spark N1X with a 6144-core GPU, 128 GB of RAM, and up to 2 TB of storage for $6,099.99. For comparison, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Max chip, 128 GB of RAM, and 2 TB of storage costs $6,699, making the Lenovo around $600 cheaper with the same memory and storage capacities.

The Lenovo Pro 9n includes a 15.3-inch OLED with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 1,100 nits of peak brightness. It covers 100% of the P3 color gamut and supports VRR up to 165Hz. According to Lenovo, the machine weighs 3.64 pounds and comes with a 92.5 Wh battery. It includes plenty of ports too, with two USB4 ports, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, a headphone jack, and an SD card reader.

As previously covered, Lenovo is positioning the Pro 9n for demanding workloads across AI development, content creation, and gaming. With up to 128 GB of unified memory and 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance, the laptop is designed to handle local AI inference, run AI agents, and more in a slim machine that you can carry everyday. Buyers can preorder the new Pro 9n with RTX Spark on the Lenovo website.
