Lenovo releases new budget laptop with 120 Hz display and over 45% longer battery life than older model

Lenovo has now started selling the IdeaPad Slim 3x 15 with a Snapdragon C series processor. For context, the company unveiled 14-inch and 15-inch variants simultaneously just under a month ago. Without warning it then released the smaller of the two across East Asia and Southeast Asia.
Now, its 15-inch sibling has joined the party by being released in the same markets. At the time of publication, we can only find active product pages in Hong Kong and Singapore. However, Lenovo has listed the IdeaPad Slim 3x 15Q7X11 as 'coming soon' in Europe. Also, the company's PSREF website confirms that the laptop will receive a full global release at some stage, too.
In the meantime, the IdeaPad Slim 3x 15Q7X11 starts at HKD 6,879 in Hong Kong and SGD 1,150 (~$897) in Singapore. For those prices, Lenovo includes the Snapdragon C C11-0100, an octa-core chipset that Qualcomm announced earlier this year. At this stage, it is unclear how the Snapdragon C C11-0100 compares against the Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) inside the existing IdeaPad Slim 3x 15Q8X10 we reviewed in 2025 (curr. $649 on Amazon).
Not only does the Snapdragon C C11-0100 feature in all models, but so does 8 GB of soldered LPDDR5X-6393 RAM for the time being. Additionally, 512 GB of M.2 2242 storage is found across all variants, as is a 50 Wh battery said to last 13.5 hours when web browsing and 33 hours when playing 1080p locally-stored videos at 150 nits.
Incidentally, the latter is a 78% longer runtime than the 15Q8X10 with a 50 Wh battery. Moreover, Lenovo claims that the IdeaPad Slim 3x 15Q7X11 lasts 46% longer than the IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q8X10 even when the latter has a 20% larger battery than the former.
Also, one can choose from two display options, starting with a 60 Hz IPS panel boasting a mere 45% NTSC colour space coverage. Alternatively, the laptop can be optioned with a 120 Hz and 100% sRGB IPS panel, which retains 400 nits peak brightness and a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel native resolution. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
