Enshrouded gets official launch date

Keen Games will end Enshrouded's Steam Early Access on October 15, 2026, with the 1.0 release arriving on PC and PlayStation 5 that same day. The PS5 version includes PS5 Pro support, while the Xbox Series X|S version is now planned for spring 2027.
Early Access ends after almost three years
The co-op survival action RPG entered early access on January 24, 2024, and Keen Games confirmed the 1.0 date on June 25, 2026. Over that period, the game received eight major content updates, which added new biomes, a combat overhaul, fishing, transmog, and a dynamic water system, along with new monsters, weapons, armor, and decor. It has also reportedly sold more than five million copies and holds an 85 percent positive rating on Steam from over 100,000 reviews. Existing saves are said to carry over to the 1.0 build.
October 15 marks Enshrouded’s console debut, so that PlayStation players will get the full release from day one. Keen Games has said it will keep adding content for years after launch.
Why Xbox is waiting
CEO Jan Jöckel said the team had aimed to launch on every platform together. However, reaching the quality and performance Keen Games expects on Xbox needs more time. He pointed to large-scale voxel building, fully terraformable worlds, and advanced multiplayer as technically demanding systems, and said development of the Xbox version is progressing steadily.
What Enshrouded 1.0 adds
Enshrouded is set in the voxel-based continent of Embervale, where players take on the role of the Flameborn, the last ember of hope for a dying race. Adventure Sharing arrived with the April 21, 2026 update, letting players upload bases for others to visit. According to the roadmap Keen Games shared in January, the 1.0 version expands the feature with traps, spawners, and logic elements, which should allow players to build custom dungeons.
On PC, Enshrouded supports up to 16 players in a single world. Keen Games has not announced crossplay between platforms. Dedicated servers are currently a PC feature, and the studio has not said whether PS5 players will be able to join them.
Players who want to jump in on day one can find Enshrouded 1.0 on Steam and the PlayStation Store when it goes live on October 15.
