A recent Philips Hue app update has added a range of new smart lighting scenes. They have a travel theme, with cooler, brighter options for daytime and a couple of warmer, softer scenes to relax in the evening. These were not noted in the change log, though the reason for this is unclear.

Several Philips Hue products are set to be discontinued. According to a recent report, the company plans to sell its existing stock in the near future. New products, which were on show at IFA 2025, will replace the existing range; these are set to be released in the coming weeks and months.

TP-Link has announced a new smart home product: the Tapo P410M Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug. This Matter-certified device offers a range of remote control options, as well as schedules and an Away mode. Plus, users can link the device to a balcony power plant and view energy usage statistics in the accompanying app.

Photos showcasing the new Nest Doorbell have emerged online ahead of Google's October launch event. Highlighting at least two significant upgrades from older models, the photos tease the new 3rd variant's design ahead of schedule too.

Plus, there is a new experimental Home dashboard and several integrations, including the Sleep as Android app.

Dreame has announced new robotic lawnmowers for the 2026 gardening season. The Dreame A3 AWD is a new flagship with all-wheel drive and virtually borderless mowing (< 1.5 cm), while the V1 series navigates smaller lawns using only a camera.

James Dyson has just revealed the Spot+Scrub Ai robovac at IFA Berlin. It uses an AI camera to analyse stains, and conducts multiple passes until they're completely removed. It also features a self-cleaning wet roller to avoid spreading dirty streaks across the floor.

The TCL Q7 or Q750G with a 77-inch screen diagonal is now on sale at Best Buy at a sizeable 45% discount. The TV is part of TCL's 2023 lineup and features a 120 Hz VA panel with VRR support, full-array Local Dimming, and excellent brightness.

A new update for the Philips Hue app, version 5.50.0, is rolling out to users of the brand’s smart home devices. It brings support for the recently released Hue Bridge Pro, with a migration process in place for some customers. The release notes also point to a change for Apple HomeKit users.

The TCL QM9K, a 4K QD-Mini LED Smart TV, is launching soon in the US. Available in four sizes, it will be the first model from the brand to feature Google TV with Gemini. Other features include the TCL Halo Control System, a CrystGlow WHVA Panel and tools like Game Accelerator 288.

Dyson has officially launched the V16 Piston Animal cordless vacuum and the V16 Piston Animal Submarine wet and dry vacuum. Now available in more European countries and on the way to the US, these cleaners are said to offer up to 315 AW suction power. The Xgimi Horizon 20 home theater projectors have been announced. On show at IFA 2025, the flagship Horizon 20 Max is equipped with a triple laser light source, said to offer a higher level of brightness than its predecessor.
