Aqara has introduced the Radiator Thermostat W600, a €49.99 smart heating add-on designed for broad valve compatibility. It supports app control, automation features and works with major smart home ecosystems through Thread and Zigbee.

Aqara has introduced its new Radiator Thermostat W600, a smart heating accessory designed to improve energy efficiency in European households. Currently priced at €49.99 on Amazon DE, the device is compatible with a wide range of valve standards, including RA, RAV, RAVL, Caleffi, Giacomini and M28×1.5, making it suitable for most traditional radiator systems.

According to Aqara, the W600 regulates heating activity more intelligently by ensuring radiators operate only when needed. Users can automate heating in each room with preset schedules, occupancy-based triggers, or geofencing rules. The thermostat also supports remote control via Aqara’s mobile app, voice assistants, or when paired with the Aqara Climate Sensor W100.

The W600 supports Thread and Zigbee, enabling seamless integration into major Matter-compatible smart home ecosystems. Aqara positions it as a simple upgrade for users looking to modernise their heating setup without replacing existing radiators.

Aqara says the W600 supports up to seven heating periods per day, five preset modes and quick scheduling, with routines capable of running locally when configured through Zigbee in the Aqara Home app to maintain automation even without an active internet connection. The thermostat can adjust temperature in 0.5°C increments, offers calibration options and supports external Aqara temperature sensors such as the Climate Sensor W100 or FP300 for more accurate room measurements. It can also warm rooms as users approach home through geofencing and pause heating via open-window detection when a connected door or window sensor registers a rapid temperature drop. Multiple thermostats can be grouped for coordinated heating across rooms, and the device operates below 30 dB to reduce noise.

Additional safeguards include frost protection that activates heating when temperatures fall below 5°C, while power is supplied by two AA batteries rated for up to two years of use. First unveiled at IFA 2025, the W600 features a flippable LED display, broader valve compatibility than its predecessor and a dual-protocol design that enables native Matter integration through Thread without a proprietary hub, while Zigbee mode unlocks advanced automation features within the Aqara Home app. The thermostat works across major Matter-enabled platforms including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant and SmartThings.

According to Aqara, the Radiator Thermostat W600 is now available through the company’s official website, authorised retail partners and major e-commerce platforms. The product is also listed on Amazon in several European markets, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain, providing broad regional availability at launch.
