The Everyday Elements Intelligent Temperature Control Heating Scarf is now available via Xiaomi Youpin in China. The gadget uses a carbon nanotube film to distribute heat evenly around the scarf. This technology is lightweight and has fast heating, providing warmth in as little as three seconds. You can choose from three temperatures: 38, 45 and 50 °C (~100, 113 and 122 °F). The scarf appears to be labelled smart as it will automatically adjust the temperature after a certain period or based on the temperature detected by a built-in sensor.
The battery provides up to seven hours of heating time on a single charge, recharging at up to 10 W via USB-C. The intelligent heating scarf is washable thanks to a carefully protected USB port and controller. However, you must remove the power pack before washing and ensure the product is completely dry before use. The 30 x 12 cm (~11.8 x 4.7-in) heating element sits inside the longer 96 x 15 cm (~37.8 x 5.9-in) scarf, with the switch located at one end. The company suggests the scarf could keep you warm outdoors in winter or be used as a hot compress.
Safety features of the device include automatic power off when overheating, overcurrent or short-circuiting. The product, which weighs just 170 g (~6.0 oz), has a water-repellant black polyester outer fabric. According to the product listing, the gadget has an MSRP of 179 yuan (~US$25).
