Medion S40 robot vacuum cleaner with 14-stage HEPA filter and self-emptying dock launches
The Medion S40 robot vacuum cleaner has been launched in European countries such as the Netherlands and France. The device has up to 2,000 Pa suction power, three brushes and a 14-stage HEPA filter. The company suggests that this makes the gadget particularly well-suited for those with allergies or pet owners.
The S40 comes with a self-cleaning docking station, emptying the smaller onboard bin into the larger docking station dustbin when charging or at the end of a job. Medion suggests that this feature lets you have up to 30 days of hands-free cleaning. A smart navigation system helps the robot vacuum to plan an optimal route through your home, avoiding obstacles and drops. Plus, an intelligent carpet detection sensor can be used to increase suction power in these areas of your home.
With 2.4 GHz connectivity, you can control the S40 via an accompanying app, or Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. The lithium-ion battery allows the robot to work for up to 2.5 hours on a single charge. The gadget has a minimum running noise of 50 dB, measuring 35.5 x 10.0 cm (~14.0 x 3.9-in). The docking station measures 31.2 x 25.0 x 20.0 cm (~12.3 x 9.8 x 7.9-in), and the products come with a 24-month warranty. You can currently buy the Medion S40 robot vacuum cleaner for the discounted price of €219 (~US$229); the gadget typically retails for €299 (~US$313).
