Lighter than the MacBook Air. Asus has updated its Zenbook 14 OLED, now making use of an even more compact and lightweight case. Even so, it still features an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H which, in turn, now demands more from the installed cooling unit. Its new 120-Hz OLED display, on the other hand, impresses with accurate colors and good HDR capabilities.

Focused. This HP gaming laptop comes with a fitting level of specs, boasting a Core i9, an RTX 4080, a PCIe 4.0 SSD (1 TB), 32 GB of RAM, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a QHD display (G-Sync, 240Hz). Despite having powerful components, the notebook only produces a moderate amount of noise – with the right settings.

OLED or Mini-LED? Laptop manufacturers don't have it easy at the moment. Intel Gen 14 has hardly delivered any improved performance, there are no new Nvidia GPUs to install—so what reasons can you give customers to purchase your yearly laptop updates? Razer sees its answer in its display: The world's first 16-inch 240-Hz OLED made by Samsung is what the manufacturer advertizes. Is its new display truly that good and are there any other new features? Our test will find out.

Meteor Lake and Wi-Fi 7. HP updates its Spectre x360 high-end convertible, now using a larger 14-inch OLED panel with 120 Hz in combination with a current Meteor Lake processor from Intel. In addition, the case was redesigned and Wi-Fi 7 is also available.

Flagship. The Scar 18 is currently one of the most powerful laptops. The Core i9-14900HX and GeForce RTX 4090 enable 4k gaming, video processing, and rendering. The bright and vibrant mini-LED display (18 inch, 2560x1600 pixel) is a feast for the eyes.

Back-office worker. Inconspicuous emissions, visual understatement, quiet keys, a large ClickPad, and hardware that can be upgraded: Acer's 14-inch laptop can compete with Windows notebooks at the level of the HP ProBook, Lenovo ThinkPad, and Dell Latitude. But in contrast to those, it avoids standing out at all costs.

Mini update. Schenker offers its Vision 14 with the GeForce RTX 3050 Refresh, featuring more graphics memory. All-in-all, its performance has remained almost the same and it can come nowhere near the GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop. With its high-resolution IPS display and good maintenance options—allowing for up to 64 GB RAM—the laptop still proves to be an interesting option.

Mobile 3D accelerator! Many popular handhelds and mini-PCs have very limited 3D capabilities due to the fact they are only equipped with an iGPU. This is where GPD comes in with their G1 eGPU. A USB4 port or OcuLink interface is required to use this device. The GPD G1 features an AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT graphics card. We have extensively tested the device with both connection options and analysed its performance.

Powerful and future-proof! Minisforum's EliteMini UM780 XTX is a very specialized mini PC which features great performance and connectivity options. Visually, the device may be a little more divisive but all-in-all, everything fits together well. In this review, we have analyzed and summarized what the mini PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS can do.

The Mini IT12, a multi-talent? The Geekom Mini IT12 follows the well-known Intel NUC design. Equipped with a mobile Intel Alder Lake SoC featuring 8 cores and 12 threads, we thoroughly examined its performance in this test to determine if it can outshine the previous class-leading Intel. Thanks to two USB 4 interfaces, we delved into its gaming capabilities when paired with an external GPU.

Extreme battery life. The basic version of the new MacBook Pro 16 is equipped with the full version of the Apple M3 Pro, although it doesn't offer much performance compared to the M2 Pro. On the other hand, the entry-level SSD has become faster again, and the maximum SDR brightness gets increased too. In addition, power efficiency improvements allow for an extremely long battery life.

High-quality waste-laptop. The Acer Aspire Vero 15 surprises not only with a QHD camera, long runtimes and high performance, but it also features a robust and attractive design, good input devices and a bright, colorful display. Furthermore, the office laptop never gets too loud and depending on the model you choose, the price is right, too.

The brakes are off: The laptop with that special edge is back. In the new 18 mm thin Zenbook, Asus has installed extremely powerful hardware and finally lets it off the leash. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 in our test unit has up to 140 watts at its disposal and is thus in no way inferior to its siblings in many gaming laptops.
