Deal | Asus VivoBook S15 with OLED screen and Intel Core Ultra 7 155H drops to $749

We have seen just a few discounts here and there for the first Intel Core Ultra laptops since they first hit the market almost half a year ago, but now that more models are popping up, opportunities for great deals arise more often. The 2024 Asus Vivobook S15 model was recently launched and it is already discounted down to $749 at Walmart. While the Core Ultra 7 155H processor might not be exactly on par with AMD’s Phoenix and Hawk Point CPUs, the 3K OLED display offered by Asus combined with this model’s thin and light design certainly make the discount an enticing proposition.

Besides the excellent 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a 120 Hz refresh rate, the 3K (2880 x 1620) 15.6-inch OLED panel with glossy coating is capable of 400 nit brightness in SDR content and up to 600 nit highlights in HDR mode. Powering the system is Intel’s Core Ultra 7 155H processor with 16 cores and 22 threads plus dedicated NPU and more powerful Arc iGPU. For its performance, the discounted price seems to be fair enough. Asus provides 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Internet connectivity is ensured via a Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.3 card. Port selection includes 2x Thunderbolt 4 plus 2x USB-A 3.2 5 Gbps connectors, an HDMI 2.1 video out, audio combo jack and a microSD card reader. Also featured are an FHD webcam with IR sensor compatible with Windows Hello and an RGB keyboard with special Windows Copilot key.
