The Asus Vivobook S14 and Vivobook S16 have been refreshed with new hardware. The former comes with an Intel/AMD CPU, while the latter is AMD-only.

Asus has livened up the Vivobook S lineup with current-gen Intel and AMD hardware. The Vivobook S15 is nowhere to be found, though, and the Vivobook 16 appears to have taken its place. Thankfully, Vivobook S14 is still around, and Asus now offers it in Intel and AMD flavours. One can pick between an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, although it'll be a while before you can get your hands on the former.

On the other hand, the Vivobook S16 is available with just AMD hardware. For unknown reasons, the Intel-powered Vivobook S14 variant caps out at 16 GB of LPDDR5X storage, whereas the AMD version (Vivobook S16 included) supports 32 GB. Both come with a 1 TB NVMe SSD. However, the Intel version comes with 2 Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, but the AMD models get only one USB 4.0 port. Other input devices on the Vivobook S16 and Vivobook S14 are as follows: USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, 2x USB3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI, combo audio jack and micro SD card reader.

The Vivobook S14 features a 14-inch 3K 120 Hz OLED panel. Similarly, the Vivobook S16 uses a 16-inch 3.2K 120 Hz OLED screen. Both cover 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and come with VESA HDR certification. Similarly, Asus has decided to power both laptops with a 75 Wh battery. Lastly, the Vivobook S16 weighs 1.5 kg, and the Vivobook S14 weighs 1.4 kg.
