With its two displays and hinge in between, the Axon M reminds us a little of the old Nokia Communicator, but it can do so much more. What exactly that is, we gathered for you in our review.

Eurocom Q5 is now the Q6, gets hexa-core Core i7-8750H option

The 15.6-inch notebook comes standard with the i7-8750H CPU, GTX 1070 Max-Q GPU, and 16 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM for $1800 USD or about $200 more than the last generation Q5. Slight superficial changes have been made to the chassis design and there are new display and faster DDR4 options as well, but the Q6 is still the Q5 at heart.

The Chrome Web Store is breaking up with cryptocurrencies. (Logos: Chrome Web Store and Bitcoin. Image: Self)

Chrome Web Store bans extensions that mine cryptocurrencies

The Chrome Web Store has updated its policy concerning extensions with crypto-mining scripts, outright banning such extensions from the store. Any existing extensions that can be used for mining cryptocurrencies will be removed by the end of June 2018. While the policy will prevent future extensions that are obviously used for crypto-mining, it remains to be seen if this will solve the problem of surreptitious mining scripts hidden in otherwise innocuous extensions.

A promising smartphone. A phablet in the trendy 2:1 format that has similarities to the parent company Huawei's Mate 10 Pro, but costs a lot less. Does this mean that Huawei has put its own top-range model at risk or are the differences too big for the View 10 to be a real competitor after all? We shall find out.

Apple iPhone X for the price-conscious. Intel 'Coffee Lake-H' Performance Comparison: A worthy upgrade from 'Kaby Lake'?

The 8th generation 'Coffee Lake-H' chips for enthusiast notebooks are finally here. Intel is doing all it can to woo the masses back from AMD Ryzen by increasing core counts and boosting clocks. This generation also sees the rebranding of the Core i7-HK series as the 'Core i9'. Intel naturally claims significant improvements over the 7th generation 'Kaby Lake' but does it actually hold true? What do the new CPUs mean for the mobile enthusiast? Our preliminary review of new 'Coffee Lake-H' Core i7-8750H-powered notebooks tells what's improved and what's not. We also list out some of the notebooks that will debut this Spring sporting the new chips.

Our first Core i7-8750H benchmarks are in and it's 50 percent faster than the Core i7-7700HQ

The Core i7-8750H offers the biggest leap in performance that the 45 W HQ-Series has seen in years. Its CineBench R15 Multi-Thread score of 1168 points is just 15 percent slower than a stock Core i7-8700K. Actual performance, however, will be highly dependent on the overarching cooling solution as we are able to record a score as low as 966 points on a pre-production MSI GS65 sample.
