Meizu decided to steer clear from notched or bezel-less displays for its 15/15+ anniversary models, keeping the tried and true bezel-less sides + upper/lower bezel design of yesteryear models. The 15+ model will feature a 5.95-inch QHD screen and an Exynos 8895 SoC, while the standard model will come with a 5.46-inch FHD display and a Snapdragon 660 SoC. Both models integrate 4/6 GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage, plus a sturdy metal back.

Meizu is not as big as HTC and Huawei, but it’s still the top 7 Chinese smartphone makers according to GSMArena. The company was founded in 2003, which means this year is its 15th anniversary, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a couple of phones named 15 and 15 Plus? These two models haven’t yet been officially revealed, but there are recent Chinese leaks that already present them in some hands-on images.

The standard 15 model will come with a 5.46-inch FHD display, and the 15+ will feature a larger 5.95-inch QHD screen. Both models seem to be getting bezel-less sides, with the upper bezel integrating all the sensors plus a centered selfie cam, while the lower bezel features a circular home button. Meizu chose a sturdy all-metal back, which also houses a vertically-alligned dual camera in the upper center part, with a circular LED flash immediately underneath.

As far as individual specs are concerned, the 15+ model will be powered by an Exynos 8895 SoC coupled with 4/6 GB or RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage. The selfie cam comes with a 20 MP sensor, whereas the rear setup integrates a dual cam with 20 MP and 12 MP sensors. Due to the generous size, this model will come with a hefty 3,430 mAh battery. On the other hand, the standard 15 model will only integrate a 2,940 mAh battery. The RAM and storage should be the same, and it looks like the Meizu 15 will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. There is no information regarding the camera setup on the standard model.

The 15/15+ models are expected to be announced later this month and there is a fair chance for an entry-level Meizu 15 Lite to be in the cards.
