Although the AMD Ryzen 4000 series offers better performance compared to current Intel CPUs, the former processors aren't available in business convertibles that can be used both as tablet and laptop. The only exception is the HP ProBook x360 435 G7, which promptly received a good score in our test.

Intel's upcoming Tiger Lake-H and Alder Lake-P processors could launch with Intel DG2 graphics. According to rumors, Intel DG2 Xe-HPG could come in 128, 384, 512, and possibly even 960 EUs configurations with up to 256-bit 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. A leaked PCB diagram of the 384 EU part on an MXM-type board indicates a die size of about 189 mm2 and shows six GDDR6 modules.

Honor and Huawei's first gaming laptop is here, after many leaks and teasers. The Hunter V700 offers a 144 Hz and 16.1-inch display, along with a choice of Intel Comet Lake-H processors and NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. Honor has housed these powerful components in a comparatively thin chassis, but prices are high.

German laptop OEM Schenker/XMG reports that the i7-10875H CPUs will soon be facing severe supply issues and it looks like Intel is countering these problems by quietly launching the i7-10870H model along with a new entry-level i5-10200H quad-core processor.

The new HP ProBook 635 Aero G7 is the world's lightest AMD-based business laptop. Coming in just under 1 kg, the laptop is powered by the user's choice of AMD Ryzen 4000 series APUs, all wrapped in an aluminum-magnesium alloy made in part from recycled materials.

Intel's Boyd Phelps has confirmed that 8-core Tiger Lake processors with up to 24 MB of low-level cache are in the offing soon. Manufacturers should really stop using these Panda panels on their laptops. Don't be fooled by their high native refresh rates as Panda panels have some of the slowest black-white response times and narrowest color space of any other high refresh rate display.

NVIDIA recently announced the GeForce MX450 based on the TU117 GTX 1650 GPU but was quiet about the specs or performance. Chinese publication Zhuanlan has managed to take the MX450 for a test ride and found that it offers a very good performance bump over the MX350. However, this is at the expense of reduced memory bandwidth and raster operator (ROPs) count along with surprisingly higher power draws compared to the GTX 1650 Max-Q.

Rumour has it that Microsoft is working on a 12.5-inch version of the Surface Laptop. Apparently to be billed as a budget model in the same vein as the Surface Go, the device will start at US$500-US$600 with a 10th generation Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Now, it has revealed that the same accessories have attained a certification from the audio authority THX. This is attributed to the brand's QuietMax technology and hybrid ANC techniques.

We retest the XPS 17 to confirm the fixes that Dell has in place. The laptop will now properly draw 130 W from its adapter instead of only 100 W to mitigate the battery draining issue on earlier production units.
