Chuwi HeroBook Air: A US$249 laptop with a 768p display and an Intel Celeron N4020 processor
Chuwi has started teasing a new laptop on AliExpress, the HeroBook Air. According to the listing, the HeroBook Air has an 11.6-inch IPS display that resolves 1,366 x 768 pixels. Those values yield a 118 PPI, for reference, which is a way off other budget laptops like the Surface Laptop Go.
The budget features do not stop there, either. The HeroBook Air also has an Intel Celeron N4020 CPU, 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB of eMMC storage. The drive is replaceable, but it remains to be seen if one could use a faster SSD, instead.
Additionally, the laptop has a 0.3 MP webcam, which is on the low side. A 36.48 Wh battery should keep the machine ticking over during the day, though, and its 910 g weight should not make it arduous to carry around.
The HeroBook Air will be available later this month on AliExpress and from Chuwi's website. Apparently, the company plans to sell it for US$249, although it is unclear how many configurations it will offer.
