Chuwi reveals the LarkBook X with a 16:10 display and a thin design
Chuwi has unveiled the latest instalment in its LarkBook series, the LarkBook X. According to the manufacturer, the LarkBook X features a 14-inch display, which operates natively at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. Accordingly, the display has a 2K resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio.
Additionally, the device has a large trackpad, a full-size keyboard and two USB ports, of which one is the larger Type-A standard. Chuwi claims that the LarkBook X is 'all-metal craftsmanship' too and is just 10 mm thick. Accordingly, the device weighs under 1.4 kg, or 3 lbs.
Unfortunately, Chuwi has chosen the Intel Celeron N5100, a 6 W processor. The Celeron N5100 is based on Intel's latest Jasper Lake architecture, but it is no competition for its Tiger Lake-U processors. Chuwi states that the device will also be available with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD.
Liliputing expects Chuwi to start selling the LarkBook X later this month for under US$500. It is unclear from where the LarkBook X will be available, though.
