Chuwi CoreBook Xe officially launches on April 20, marries 10th gen Comet Lake-U with discrete Iris Xe Max graphics
Intel Iris Xe graphics are almost always associated with 11th gen Tiger Lake, but nobody ever said the GPU was exclusive to Tiger Lake CPUs. The Chuwi CoreBook Xe will be one of the first laptops to ship with both a 10th gen Core i5-10210U CPU and a discrete Iris Xe Max GPU.
The system was announced last month where its official specifications were made public including the 1080p IPS display, 8 GB of RAM, and 512 GB SSD. What we still don't know, however, is the final price of the product as Chuwi has yet to confirm or deny the original $699 USD rumor. This is despite the fact that the laptop will become available for purchase in just a few more days. Thus, if we don't know it now, we'll at least find out on April 20 should the launch proceed as planned.
Nonetheless, the manufacturer is promising $100 USD off, a free carrying bag, and a May 15th delivery date for those who sign up for updates on the CoreBook Xe. The specifications and design look promising, but the devil will be in the details especially based on our experience with older Chuwi laptops.
