While Huawei now claims to have rolled out HarmonyOS 2.0 to over 65 devices, it has also started adding features to its fledgling operating system. Specifically, Huawei has enabled multi-camera videos as of v2.0.0.166, which is available for some flagship handsets. The update is currently available in China, albeit only because Huawei has started rolling out HarmonyOS 2.0 elsewhere.
According to Huawei Central, the new feature allows you to connect multiple HarmonyOS devices simultaneously, provided they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can then record videos from multiple perspectives through one device using the default camera app.
Alternatively, you could use a smartphone as a camera remote control for another device. Additionally, the v2.0.0.166 update includes a new widget that allows you to place files on your home screen. Likewise, Huawei has added the option of bringing up the notification centre by swiping left or right from within an app. Huawei Central states that v2.0.0.166 improves system security too, although without going into details.
