Huawei is still slated to launch successors to the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ in 2021, if just much later than normal. One of these putative phones may have emerged in dummy form onto the leaks circuit, potentially confirming various design-related tips about the phone thus far.
A P50 Pro model unit is the star of this new leak, posted by CREATOR STUDIO to YouTube (although it seems the clip might have originated on Bilibili). It shows the film-maker being handed the Pro-variant dummy, thereby revealing its looks from the front and the back, in a setting that honestly looks like it might be a physical Huawei store, most likely located in China.
Therefore, this leak might affirm the OEM's choice of a curved display and a punch-hole selfie camera for the P50's higher-end counterpart. It might also prove that the device will come with a novel "angel-eye" rear camera hump that divides a penta-cam set-up between 2 circular apertures.
The new leak also unambigously indicates that one of them is a periscope lens, as it is distinctly rectangular compared to the round nature of the other 4. Of these, 1 is said to be a new 1/1.18-inch sensor. This would fall just below the largest new mobile CMOS of the year, yet might boost detail and low-light performance in the rumored P50 Pro.
