While previous Huawei P series devices have typically launched around May, Huawei is taking its time with the next release in the lineup, the Huawei P50 series. It appears, however, that we may finally have a concrete launch date for the phones.
According to new information coming out of China, Huawei could launch the Huawei P50 series on July 29. This information comes from a shared binary code "1011011001" which converts into 729. Or July 29. It's not much, but it's the first exact date that has been tipped so far, and does roughly corroborate previous information that claimed the phones would be released in August.
Recent rumors also claim Huawei could use a Snapdragon 888 on the P50 series. Supposedly, Qualcomm is working on a 4G version of the Snapdragon 888 and a future Snapdragon 888 Pro. This sounds rather unlikely considering China's strong push towards 5G. The American chipmaker will allegedly supply Huawei with those chips, and we could see them debut on the P50 lineup. Be sure to take that with a grain of salt, though.
