New leak portrays the Huawei P50 Pro's rear panel in an entirely new light
We've seen several instances of the Huawei P50 Pro's alleged back panel in the recent past. Most of the renders prophesized that the smartphone's rear camera array would consist of four, or even five lenses. Some time later, a leaker predicted that the Huawei P50 Pro would use a colossal one-inch 50MP Sony IMX 800 sensor. Now Steve Hemmerstoffer aka @OnLeaks' new post on Voice completely reimagines the smartphone's back panel.
The alleged Huawei P50 Pro render showcase two obnoxiously large camera sensors taking up nearly a third of the back panel. The first cutout is presumably reserved for the large IMX senor from earlier. It is anybody's guess as to what the second circle has in store for us. We're probably looking at two or three lenses jammed into that space. There is no concrete information about the Huawei P50 Pro's camera layout outside of speculations and rumours.
Steve also throws in some extra information about the Huawei P50 Pro's screen, stating that is is a curved 6.7-inch panel. We learned earlier that it would employ a 1440p AMOLED panel clocked at 120Hz. Huawei will also throw in two speakers, an IR blaster and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The renders also tell us that the curved display is here to say, despite nobody asking for it.
Renowned Huawei expert @RODENT950, who has been the source of several Huawei-related leaks in the past, chimed in stating that this Huawei P50 Pro render is likely fake. He points to an earlier Huawei Mate 40 Pro render that showcased a similar design and also points out a render created by Twitter use @Guidingdroid that imagines the Huawei P50 Pro camera layout similar to that of the Huawei Nova 8 Pro.
