The Huawei P50's rear panel allegedly surfaces in a new leak
The successors to the Huawei P40 series of flagship phones may launch sometime soon. It is thought to have waterfall-style displays (again) and is likely to be a HarmonyOS device. Now, a new leak might reveal its new and elaborate rear camera array.
A live image purported to be of the "Huawei P50" has shown up on SlashLeaks with a camera hump somewhat like that of the P40 Pro or Pro+, albeit longer and slimmer. It contains 4 large lenses of patently different sizes, one of which is likely to be a periscope lens.
A fifth, smaller lens can be spotted peeping out alongside them, between flash modules and an unusual grid of tiny 2x3 circles that may be a new form of emitter, perhaps for distance-sensing or auto-focus.
This photo has since been converted into renders by ConceptCreator via LetsGoDigital. It is presented in conjunction with the supposedly 6.6-inch quad-curving display seen in an earlier leak.
The same artist has also produced a new and exciting design for the Huawei P50 series, which combines LG Velvet-esque rear cameras with an innovative asymmetrical glass surround. However, unfortunately, it seems this is a ConceptCreator special, which given its more unique cosmetic impact would be a shame.
