Huawei has updated the MateBook 13 to Intel's Tiger Lake platform. The MateBook 13 comes with a Core i5-1135G7 or Core i7-1165G7 processor, along with an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU and a 13-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The MateBook 13 2021 starts at CNY 5,449 (~US$848), but little else has changed from its predecessor.

The MateBook 13 is one of three laptops that Huawei has upgraded to Intel's Tiger Lake platform, with the MateBook X Pro and MateBook 14 joining it on the Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7. The switch to Tiger Lake CPUs also brings Iris Xe Graphics G7 GPUs to the MateBook 13, up to the Iris Xe Graphics G7 96EUs in the Core i7-1165G7.

However, Huawei offers the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 with the MateBook 13 too. The GeForce MX450 is only available with the Core i7-1165G7 though and for a price of CNY 6,999 (~US$1,078).

Nonetheless, all configurations come with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 dual-channel RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Additionally, all SKUs have a 1440p display with a 3:2 aspect ratio that supposedly covers 100% of the sRGB colour space. Moreover, the MateBook 13 2021 has a 42 Wh battery that can be recharged with its 65 W charger.

The MateBook 13 2021 measures 286 x 211 x 14.9 mm and weighs 1.3 kg. Huawei sells the new MateBook 13 in China from CNY 5,449 (~US$848), but it is yet to announce international availability and pricing.
