Huawei has let it be known that it will hold a "new product launch event" in the final quarter of 2021. Based on reports that this press conference will be presented by Derek Yu, the president of this OEM's Nordic, Canadian and Central Eastern European regional divisions, there is a strong chance the show will introduce a global edition of at least one of the company's latest devices.
These indications have given rise to speculation that the hardware in question will consist of the new P50 flagship smartphones. These handsets have only been released running HarmonyOS in the OEM's native China to date, which may not appeal to customers more used to Android.
Then again, the P50 series does also offer the mobile camera potential that some enthusiasts may want as an option, at least. Furthermore, Huawei does have a new version of EMUI with which international units could conceivably ship.
Those theories may be supported by a largely shadow-enshrouded outline of what might indeed be a new premium handset at the center of Huawei's newly-unleashed launch poster. It also affirms that the event in question will be held in Austria's capital Vienna on October 21, 2021.
