The HarmonyOS-powered Huawei Nova 9 gets an official launch teaser
Huawei typically goes all out for the launch of a new iteration of its Nova series in its native China, with a lavish run-up to launch, which moreover often serves to reveal multiple variants that cover numerous tiers of its mid-range target market. The official Weibo announcement for the premiere of the 8's apparently lone successor is strikingly stripped-back by comparison.
Nevertheless, the Nova 9 is portrayed as having an all-new design...new to its line, that is. Fans of the Honor brand will see much (if not, to be honest, all) of the recently-released 50 series in the rear panel unveiled through this new poster. The up-to-date "angel-eye" camera-hump style has indeed made it to another new vehicle, accommodating a total of 4 lenses in this iteration.
The Nova 9's new teaser also simply states that it will debut on September 23, 2021. Rumor has it that it just might do so running on the Snapdragon 778G SoC; then again, it may (unlike most phones with this silicon) have to to make do without 5G connectivity.
