Last week, Xiaomi began rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition globally, having issued the update to numerous devices in China. The company started with the POCO F3 and Mi 11X, but it has now moved onto the Mi 11 Ultra.
Currently, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is only available for the Mi 11 Ultra on MIUI's Indonesian branch. Additionally, V12.5.4.0.RKAIDXM is a Stable Beta update at the time of writing. Hence, it is on a limited release until Xiaomi determines that there are no bugs that it missed during internal tests.
Nonetheless, the recovery and OTA zip files are available to download, should you wish to try MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition on your handset. We have included links to both files below, which Xiaomi hosts on its servers.
Xiaomi promises that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition runs more efficiently than MIUI 12.5, in part by optimising storage and RAM usage. V12.5.4.0.RKAIDXM also fixes a crash caused by using face and fingerprint unlocks simultaneously, and a separate bug that resulted in lock screen notifications disappearing after ending a call.
